Furthering intellectual discourse through research rooted in traditional scholarship.
The renowned hadith scholar Jamāl al-Dīn al-Mizzī (d. 742 AH) poetically said, "Knowledge thrives on discourse (mudhākara)." This statement summarizes one of our chief goals at Qalam Seminary. Qalam Research, a branch of our seminary, hopes to contribute to scholarly discourse by producing research from our academic staff and alumni on classical Islamic disciplines, such as tafsīr, hadith, law, history, and Arabic. From research papers and webinars to book reviews and translations, we aim to produce work that will foster an educational environment that accords to accepted academic standards.
